Receive and file the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Fourth Quarter Odor Complaint Report.

BACKGROUND

 

During the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, the Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) had the following attributable odor complaints:  Plant No. 1 had zero odor complaints, Plant No. 2 had zero odor complaints, and the collection system had one odor complaint. A summary of the odor complaints with a table tracking the history is included as an attachment.

 

RELEVANT STANDARDS

 

                     Less than 5 odor complaints per year, per event under normal operating conditions for Plant Nos. 1 and 2

                     Operate and maintain facilities to minimize impacts on surrounding communities, including odor, noise, and lighting

                     Less than 12 odor complaints per year, per event for the collection system
