BACKGROUND
The Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) conducts a wide range of sample collection, monitoring, and microbiological, chemical, and physical analyses to meet NPDES and AQMD permit compliance. In addition, laboratory sampling aids in maintaining the highest level of operational efficiency. This work is primarily performed in the two-story, 36,000-square foot Laboratory at Plant No. 1. The air compressor and vacuum pump system is utilized for many of these functions and is integral to the sampling environment. When this system does not operate correctly, there could be delays in time sensitive results and impacts to sampling accuracy.
RELEVANT STANDARDS
