BACKGROUND

 

Each month, staff provides informational presentations on topics of interest to the Board of Directors.  This month’s second topic:  Orange County Sanitation District’s procurement process, bids vs. Request for Proposals (RFP), and sole source contracts vs. competitive contracts.

 

RELEVANT STANDARDS

 

•                     Ensure the public’s money is wisely spent

•                     Participate in local, state, and national cooperative purchasing programs

•                     Comply with OC San Policy:  Ordinance No. OC SAN-56
