Receive and file the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Second Quarter Odor Complaint Report.

BACKGROUND

 

During the second quarter of FY 2024-25, the Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) had the following attributable odor complaints:  Plant No. 1 had two odor complaints, Plant No. 2 had two odor complaints, and the collection system had four odor complaints.  A summary of the odor complaints with a table tracking the history is included as an attachment.

 

RELEVANT STANDARDS

 

                     Five or fewer odor incidents/events under normal operating conditions for Plant Nos. 1 and 2

                     Operate and maintain facilities to minimize impacts on surrounding communities, including odor, noise, and lighting

                     12 or fewer odor complaints per year under normal operating conditions in the collection system
